Building strategies for adaptive and resilient cities.

Winteraction, a seasonal celebration of connection and play, is a worldwide participatory event for the Northern Hemisphere, held on January 27 2018, to pay attention to the use of public space within different seasons.

For me, going outside on cold and rainy days is connected to feelings of confidence and vulnerability at the same time, embracing humanity and a childlike playfulness at times. winteraction is an event to pay attention to the build environment and the changeable factors such as seasons and the way we move and feel. Also it is a way to collectively combat social isolation through interaction.

Together with Renée Miles, we gathered a group of young urban catalysts to facilitate winteraction in Vancouver, Berlin and Rotterdam and did a call out to urban workers and citizens concerned worldwide, to do the same in their local community.
